PCC Geography Faculty Award
The PCC Geography Faculty Award was established and first funded in 2024 by the four full-time PCC Geography faculty members through personal financial contributions. The award was created to address a gap in dedicated campus financial support for high-achieving Geography students and to directly invest in student success beyond the classroom. The award reflects the Geography faculty’s commitment to student achievement, equity of opportunity, and career preparation in spatial sciences.
In this inaugural year, the award will give away two $500 scholarships to outstanding PCC Geography students. To be considered, students must be finishing a PCC Geography credential (Geography AA-T, GIST AS, GIS or GIST Certificate), have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and respond to the supplemental questions in this application.
