Aaron and Eugene Jacobs Memorial Fund for Chemistry
The Aaron B. Jacobs and Eugene I. Jacobs Memorial Fund was established in 2024 in honor of the founders of The Science Scholarship Foundation. The Trustees of the Foundation, and now the Trustees of the Memorial Fund managed to raise funds through solicitations of donations from private citizens, organizations, and businesses, and the general public, as well as by other means.
These funds are distributed directly or invested to produce an income flow, which the Trustees then distribute to the Chemistry Scholarship recipients.
The Trustees’ primary intent is that the Chemistry Scholarship will encourage talented chemistry students to strive for continued achievement in a chemistry-related field. With $10,000 disbursed in two years (4 semesters at $2,500 each) Scholarship award, the Trustees hope that the scholarship recipients may devote their full time and attention to their academic pursuits without financial constraints to support themselves. The number of Chemistry Scholarships awarded by The Memorial Fund depends on the funds available for that particular year.
