Ann Peppers Scholarship
The Ann Peppers Scholars Program at PCC helps Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) area graduates succeed in college. Funded by a grant established by the Ann Peppers Foundation, it provides academic, financial, mentoring, and career-related services and support to PUSD graduates with the goal of improving retention and graduation/transfer success.
WHO CAN APPLY?
PCC students from the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) can apply to be an Ann Peppers Scholar. They must meet the following criteria to be selected:
• Graduate from high school the year you apply for the program
• Have a graduating minimum GPA of 2.0 (based on a 4.0 scale)
• Enroll at PCC the Fall semester after graduation
• Successfully complete the FAFSA or Dream Act Application
• Register for and attend Summer classes at PCC
SERVICES & BENEFITS
All Ann Peppers Scholars will have access to supplemental services and benefits such as:
• FAFSA Completion Support
• Financial Scholarship Support – laptops, textbooks, food assistance, etc.
• Pathways First Year Experience (FYE) services, including summer JAM, dedicated counseling, tutoring, and success coaching, and access to the First Year Success Center
• An assigned Program Coordinator to monitor progress
• Monthly customized academic counseling support
• Guidance to complete a Comprehensive Student Educational Plan
• Freeman Center for Career and Completion services
