Liu/Spaulding Perseverance Award

History *
Professor Liu was a professor at Pasadena City College for many years in the Physics Department; upon his retirement, he has chosen to encourage and honor students in STEM fields to continue in their studies through their success in mathematics.

*Award *
This scholarship will be awarded to continuing or transferring students that, while at PCC, completed Math 3, Math 8, Math 5A, Math 5B, and Math 5C.

*Requirements *
1. Student is either continuing at PCC OR transferring to a four-year institution
2. A GPA of at least 3.0 in all courses completed at PCC.
3. A GPA of at least 3.0 in all math courses completed at PCC.
4. Completion of Math 3, Math 8, Math 5A, Math 5B, and Math 5C with a GPA of 3.0.
5. Submit an essay of how your success in mathematics will help you in your future academic and career aspirations.
