James Galbraith Scholarship for Speech
The James R. Galbraith Speech Scholarship awards students who are studying in the division of Performing and Communication Arts related to Speech or Speech/Language Pathology. Mr. Galbraith is an alumnus of Pasadena City College and participated in journalism, student government, and speech. Representing PCC, he won the National Junior Oratory Scholarship in 1955. Mr. Galbraith was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Hilton Hotels Corporation and has also served on the Board of Directors of both the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and Conrad N. Hilton Fund. A native of Michigan, he is a graduate of California State University – Los Angeles.
