William Miller Scholarship for Chemistry

The William Miller Scholarship for Chemistry is intended to help students continue their education in Chemistry at PCC or other institutions of their choice. Three recipients will be selected and awarded $1000 each. Each applicant must meet the following qualifications in order to be eligible to apply. However, meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee that you’ll receive the award.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

  • Overall GPA at least 3.3
  • GPA at least 4.0 in chemistry coursework
  • Completion of Chem 1A and completion (or be at least enrolled) in Chem 1B

Selection Criteria:

  • Overall GPA
  • Overall percentage earned in each Chemistry class as reported by the faculty reference
  • Work ethic, ability to think critically, inquisitiveness, creativity, and leadership ability (as assessed by faculty reference)
