William Miller Scholarship for Geology

The William Miller Scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding student in the geological sciences. Priority is given to continuing students that show promise in the field of geology, but transferring students will be considered.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
1. Be a declared major in Geology
2. Have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or greater
3. Have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in geology courses
4. Preferably continue onward in their studies at Pasadena City College; outstanding transferring students will be considered but given lower priority

Selection Criteria:

  1. GPA in Geology Courses
  2. Performance in advanced Geology Courses (Geology 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 30x)
  3. Overall GPA
  4. Extracurricular activities in Geology
