Sydnie Harrington: The Charles Harrington Memorial Scholarship Award

Charles (Chuck) Harrington began his teaching career at Pasadena City College in October of 1974. He was an instructor in the Business Department, Marketing/Merchandising Program for 32 years. The program offered classes that included field practice, which was on-the-job training in the Retail Field. He wrote a textbook/workbook for his retail selling class. He was a member of the Marketing Educator’s Association for fifteen years and served two terms on the board of directors. Every two years or so, he would do a workshop or serve on a panel for the annual convention. In 2001, Chuck was promoted to division coordinator at PCC. His duties were to supervise, mentor, recommend for hire, and evaluate the 85 hourly faculty in the division. Chuck retired in 2006.

Sydnie Harrington is the wife of Charles Harrington.
