META Foundation Scholarship

META is a nonprofit, 501©(3) organization providing mentorship and scholarships to Latino youth in Southern California with the vision of increasing the opportunities for Latinos to become successful business and community leaders.

Please review the information below about scholarship opportunities through META Foundation.

Platinum Scholarship: This scholarship provides students up to $7,500, payable over four years, to entering college freshmen attending four-year colleges and universities or students attending community college with plans to transfer. Recipients of the Platinum Scholarship will also be provided mentorship and access to workshops.
To be eligible to apply, students must meet the following criteria:
. Must be applying, accepted or enrolled at an accredited institution of higher education as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing an academic discipline at a four-year college.
. Must be an incoming freshman
. Must have a 3.00 GPA or higher and be in good academic standing.
. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident of Hispanic origin (defined as having one Hispanic parent or two Hispanic grandparents) residing in the 50 states or Puerto Rico.
. Preference is given to students who have demonstrated leadership or mentoring qualities through their record of involvement and participation in civic activities in school or in their communities.
Gold Scholarship: This scholarship provides up to $2,000, payable over the course of up to four years, to either four year or community college students who have plans to transfer to a four-year university.

Recipients of the Gold Scholarship will also be provided mentorship and access to workshops.
To be eligible to apply, students must meet the following criteria:
. Must be applying, accepted or enrolled at an accredited institution of higher education, pursuing an academic discipline, at EITHER a four year college or a two-year community college with plans to transfer.
. May be an incoming freshman at a two-year university or a continuing student
. Must have a 3.00 GPA or higher and be in good academic standing.
. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident of Hispanic origin (defined as having one Hispanic parent or two Hispanic grandparents) residing in the 50 states or Puerto Rico.
. Preference is given to students who have demonstrated leadership or mentoring qualities through their record of involvement and participation in civic activities in school or in their communities.
